Winemaker Comments
After a cool spring a near perfect summer prevailed for this second vintage from our Zell Vineyard on Waiheke Island, enabling the grapes to be picked at the peak of ripeness and in perfect condition. The warm Waiheke nights added to the complexity of the wine, enhanced the balance and helped to concentrate the rich fruit flavours.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Pale green gold.
  Bouquet:

Concentrated aromas of honeysuckle, butterscotch, and stone fruits underpinned with subtle oak.
  Palate:

Mouthfilling and beautifully balanced with a fine silken texture. The fruit and oak integrate harmoniously and linger delicately on the long finish.

Drinking beautifully now but will cellar well for up to 4 to 5 years.

Fish, white meats, pasta.
